    No

I wonder how they're going to explain the Doctor being noticeably
older-looking than he was programmed to be?

Holograms don't age but if the Doctor is re-programming himself to appear to age so that he blends in with everyone around him, then 800 years later, he should look like King Theoden after Saruman had possessed him.

I wondered about that too, but that kind of CGI is expensive! </sarc>

Picardo is such an ugly piece of shit inside. It’s probably just his real self leaking out.

Is Star Trek: Starfleet Academy worth watching?

I think, for just myself, I can answer this with a clear and resounding
No. I've taken a look at everything published, images, trailers, and
stories, and It's yet another bastardisatin of the franchise, or most
likely anyway. Sure I'll still give it a fair chance because I have this
weird and dumb condition that I must watch everything with the name Star
Trek in it, anyway. God, give me strength.

Can relate, I’m afflicted with the same condition. The trailer did
absolutely nothing for me though. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

I will say I think it’s not a stretch to say The Doctor would want to age himself in his appearance but is just vain enough that he wouldn’t want an appearance that looks *too* old.

Mark Jeffreys response to Robert Picardo was glorious: "Wrong. Everyone in Starfleet earned their position -- regardless of race. Its a colorblind meritocracy. A DEI hire on a starship is how red shirts happen."
