Will Wheaton was Wesley Crusher on Star Trek but he's been trying to be a
geek influencer for the last couple of decades making cringe takes. Now he's >> lamenting there's no movies Hollywood produces that he likes.

Woke conformity is only one part of the problem, IMO. Another is the
dearth of original ideas.
The sad part is that smaller studios are still making mid-budget movies
with original ideas, and people are still very happy to go see them when they're available, but they don't seem to get into the theaters. I guess
the major studios force them out to push their latest bland, superficial attempts at blockbusters.
Most of the "mainstream" movies these days are idiotic reboots,
remakes, and/or resurrections.
How many times do we have to see Superman's origin story??
Why is Disney so lazy and talentless that all they can do is remake
their previous animated successes as live-action dross?? (Dreamworks is
now following the same silly path with their latest "How to Train Your
Dragon" live-action remake.)
