Stephen Colbert mourns Kyle Rittenhouse acquittal: We should
change the law
Left-wing comedian Stephen Colbert on Monday expressed his
disappointment in the conclusion to the Kyle Rittenhouse trial,
imploring that Wisconsin self-defense laws be changed.
"Cards on the table, I am not a legal expert so I can't tell you
whether or not Kyle Rittenhouse broke the law. But I can tell you
this, if he didn't break the law we should change the law," he
added
to cheers from the audience.
Wisconsin law allows someone to use deadly force only if
"necessary to
prevent imminent death or great bodily harm," which the jury found
to
be true in Rittenhouse's case.
Baxter agreed.
"You should be dead or injured BEFORE you use self-defense," said
Baxter.
"That way, it's more fair and less racist."
"Matt Dillon NEVER drew first, as you may recall," said Baxter
dreamily.
Wisconsin's self defense laws are not unique. They are pretty
standard t
hroughout the country. The only major difference is whether a state
has adopted stand your ground laws, which only relieve the endangered
person of a duty to retreat before resorting to deadly force. Kyle Rittenhouse did attempt to retreat from both deadly encounters and
wasn't allowed to do so by the people he shot and killed. Those people brought about their own
demise through their criminal attack on Kyle.
Now we are supposed to do away with a legal principle that is older
than
the the United States because a whiny bitch like Steven Colbert
doesn't think we should be allowed to
defend ourselves from deadly attacks. Steven Colbert is a despicable
mot
herfucker.
Leftists hate it when they get killed after they attack someone. They
have no idea what self defense even means.
The fact that he used an AR REALLY infuriates them.
"So Rittenhouse was found 'not guilty,' but only a complete moron
would celebrate this clear tragedy by making this guy a hero," Colbert
added.
Kyle Rittenhouse is a hero.
Steven Colbert is a scum.
Tim Conway Jr. nailed this one. He said on one of his shows that bitchy
little people like Steven Colbert, Don Lemon, Keith Olbermann, Rosie
O'Donnell among others, all had something wrong with them and proceeded to point out what it was.
Steven Colbert, blamed his father for dying in a plane crash. Didn't care about the brothers who died with him, just the father.
Don Lemon, got molested as a young child and decided he was queer at 15.
Keith Olbermann, Hit his head on a subway and suffered permanent brain
damage. He became more aggressive and rude because of it.
Rosie O'Donnell, "Depression", but it was really her struggling with
sexuality.
There was a couple others, but he mentioned Colbert in particular and said
that he had gotten increasingly unpleasant, bitter and spiteful over the
years.
No argument with his assessments.
