Male cheerleaders don't sound that bad. There have always been a few.

This isn't the same. These dudes don't want to cheer, they want to be >>>female cheerleaders. Those guys in the clip are doing the prance-swish >>>thing, like every cliched gay guy in 90s sitcoms. They're not cheering; >>>they're posing.

Lately, in my YouTube feed, I've been getting short videos from college >>cheerleading practice sessions in which the base, either one or two men, >>will throw the flyer, typically a tiny woman, into the air. She does a
flip or a turn. Sometimes he catches her on one hand, balanced on one or >>both feet.

I've been seeing those too. It's amazing what they do and the times
when the woman doesn't land perfectly shows just how dangerous the >performances can be.

These are large men but when the routine is executed properly, they are >>amazingly gentle when catching her so she doesn't get bruised. Because >>she's a cheerleader and not a gymnast, she's wearing a huge smile.

These guys don't prance nor pose, and look like smaller versions of >>football linebackers. I doubt the women would trust them if they didn't >>look strong enough to catch them and had any other primary interest in >>performing the routine as safely as possible.

This video showed up in my feed.

As Melissa pointed out, there have always been male cheerleaders. In
this squad, the men are doing both bases and gymnastic floor exercises.

I found several CDAs. Cheer Domination Athletics; Cheer & Dance Atlanta

I looked at her feed and saw this. The school mascot is there.

Less gymnastics from the men. Both men and women are doing the same
dance steps. Really impressive synchronized flying among the base/flyer combinations

This is simply not something that men have been left out of, and it's
just another form of entertainment that making it a drag show would
    utterly ruin.

I know she doesn't weigh anything, but he catches her with one hand
    without breaking his wrist.
