    Hey, thanks for asking!

I all but finished up my DVR clearing in anticipation of taking it in
tomorrow (the billing cycle ends over the weekend) and then I found out
that they had actually charged my card for the next month a week ago so if
I take it in now, I’ll just lose $300.

So the stuff that I watched or downloaded a copy of or just dumped
    includes:

THE SEA CHASE (TCM) John Wayne technicolor Cinemascope submarines

CAPTAIN SINDBAD (not only is that how it’s spelled but spiel Chuck likes
    that spelling) starring Guy Williams

BANDOLERO! Another cinema scope feature with Jimmy Stewart, and Dean Martin
and Raquel Welch. Note that spiel Chuck has forgotten how to spell
    Cinemascope.

Half a dozen (each) favorite episodes of THE TIME TUNNEL and THE INVADERS,
both of which series I have on disc anyway.

A few straggling episodes of the “documentary“ series SECRETS IN THE ICE.

    And finally, the big one
John Wayne and Vincent Price together again for the first time in:
    THE CONQUEROR WORM!

Just kidding. It was the Cinemascope technicolor classic starring John
Wayne and Susan Hayward THE CONQUEROR, the radioactive film that killed
damn everybody in its cast. Not that they wouldn’t have died of humiliation anyway. I enjoy John Wayne, but boy Howdy whoever thought this was a good
fit for him, probably ended up hiding in a hotel room, saving his
    fingernail clippings.

Sheesh.. I had no idea it was that bad. From the Wikipedia:

Of the 220 crew members, 91 (comprising 41% of the crew) developed
cancer by 1980, while 46 (or 21%) died from it. When this was learned,
many suspected that filming in Utah and surrounding locations, near
nuclear test sites, was to blame.

91 people developing cancer out of 220 after just 24 years. Yeah,
that's pretty damning evidence of a connection to the film sites.

Not sure if you read the worst part, but after they were done filming on location, they gathered up tons of possibly radioactive sand and trucked it back to Los Angeles, so that the soundstage floors would match the
    location.

Not as bad as my grandfather, who was one of the troops they sent out to
Nevada after the war to develop battlefield strategies incorporating nukes. They'd set off a nuke, have the troops hunker down in trenches until the blast wave and the firestorm passed over them, then tell them to charge toward the 'enemy', which meant charging toward the mushroom cloud. Grandpa who never smoked a day in his life, died of a particularly aggressive form of lung cancer.

I did not read that. Just reading the summary from the AI was more
than enough to show me how bad it was. Sadly I'm willing to bet no one involved, even in production, knew just how bad the situation was.

The difference is that he was a soldier who was likely being knowingly sacrificed by the military command. I can't believe his superiors
didn't know just how dangerous that was. It sucks but it seems to be a
    common thing across the world.

I can believe the people involved in making the film didn't realize
what they were doing could be.

first episodes, but he got the hang of it.

The producers of that cartoon cut a lot of corners!

    LOL, yes, yes they did.

ST:TAS deserves a special place because it's the basis for all those
fan-made Star Trek episodes on YouTube. I watched one, and it wasn't
bad. At this point, I suppose any new content would be from people who
    care about it.

I never watched any Star Trek fan films, but I think it's mostly because
Star Trek is dead to me.

(hmm, had forgotten Lea Thompson was in it)

That leads to a band entry. Did you mean this? >https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0097977/

very weird... clicking onto the wiki link in your repost
does, indeed, get a bad entry. So I searched again
for "nightbreaker" and "Martin Sheen" and got the
same wiki list (see below), and it did pull up
    the right film.

    I dunno....
