Please disregard. I was having problems with Thunderbird: I couldn't

wouldn't post either - at least not immediately - although I see my
posts have FINALLY appeared now, at least a day after I posted them.
For what it's worth, I finally got Thunderbird to behave itself by
simply restarting it. After that, subscribing to newsgroups worked again
and I was able to read existing posts and write new ones.
I remain baffled by what was going on. I thought perhaps the restart had >updated Tbird but it's the exact same release I had before the restart.
I have long felt that Thunderbird was great for e-mail and horrible
for newsgroups which is why I've been using Agent since v 1.93 (hint:
the most recent version is 8.0 and that's at least 5 yrs old) while
using Thunderbird for e-mail.
I'm on the board of 3 non-profits so I need an e-mail that will
accommodate mass "send-tos" and for that Thunderbird has been doing a
good job and unpretentiously.
