One of two things has happened:

    1. Her advisers have convinced her she has a real shot at getting the Presidential nomination in 2028 and she prefers that job.

    2. Her advisers have convinced her that she has no real chance of
winning the California governorship - or anything else of note - in 2026.

BTR1701 will have to provide punch lines to someone making less obvious
    straight lines.

Speaking of providing the punch line to an obvious straight line, one of
    the comments:

For Harris, California is unburdened by what has been.

I would have written that slightly differently: "California is
    unburdened by a has-been."

    That's my theory.

I saw a clip of her answering questions where she explained to somebody
that when your information goes into the cloud that it doesn’t exist physically anywhere anymore it’s just floating around invisibly overhead
and then she asked one of her advisors if she got that right and he assured
    her that she had.

So it may just be that her advisers are actually stupider than she is, and
hard as that is to believe. Either that or they just rubberstamp anything
she says no matter how boneheaded.
