    I had no idea that "Brock" was her owner. I just assumed that the dog
    belonged to someone else, just like Timmy didn't own Lassie real life.
    (Ditto for the many, many pets we've seen on shows where the pet had a
    real role in the action and wasn't just a bit of set dressing.)
