    What did you watch?

    Hey, thanks for asking!

As I no longer have DVR service at night (thanks Cox) I’m slogging through
a lot of stuff I recorded from the TCM mythology marathon, which they apparently are running every Wednesday night this month.

    Clash of the Titans
    Jason and the Argonauts
    My Son, the Hero
    The Minotaur
    Atlantis the Lost Continent

    Also, they showed.
    The Last of Sheila

Of course I can’t watch any of this when my DVR service goes out overnight
so I turned to the fire stick

Last night, I watched ALIENS. Everything said it had the extended cut but everything lied especially Hulu. The running time shows that they are all
    just playing the regular cut.

I also tried to watch some stuff on PRIME that they were advertising on the fire stick as free. They lie like the big dogs they are.

The Avengers (the old British spy show)
The fire stick says it’s free but when you go there, it turns out that only the last worst season with Tara King is free.

Then it tried to get me to watch SHERLOCK.
While it assures me Sherlock is free, only the first season is.

This is pretty much the same bait and switch crap that DoorDash is pulling.
If I didn’t get Amazon for the shipping, I would dump the service.

Also, I tried to switch my inter-web service to T-Mobile and failed spectacularly.

Yesterday ended up being a longer day than I was expecting - I got to it
late, but I ended up doing work before going into teach in the
afternoon, and then my afternoon lab ran late. (And I ended up doing
some work in the evening too!)

As a result, I didn't even watch last night's new LMN flick "live" (I
    recorded it instead).

So, really, all I got through was soaps:

B&B (live!) - As I predicted, they killed off cute but EVOL!! Luna
(though they did in such a way that they can "unkill" her later if they
want, and say that her aunt be responsible for squirreling her away
    without anyone knowing).

DOOL - Wed's ep. Ha! Gwen is back! (YaY!!) After righteously telling off
Leo Stark (it's easy to forget what a weasel he's been!), Gwen gets
drunk with Xander, and I think they are going to end up boffing!!

GH - Thur's ep. So, are they writing out Sasha? (Seems like it - I'm
guessing the actress is going to finally go on maternity leave IRL...)
Cody conspires to use Lizzie to drive a wedge between Ric and Ava at the gallery event (it works). At the same event, Emma seems to successfully
make Josslyn jealous. Carly tells Sonny not to retaliate against Sidwell
via Marco. Marco pretty much swears revenge on Sonny, after telling the
crooked counselman (Daniel Cosgrove) to stuff it on camera. Kai fesses
up to Curtis that he warned Drew about Curtis's scheme; then Drew
    further blackmails Curtis!

I just saw that Intrada is releasing the digitally remastered complete score
to JAWS to commemorate its 50th anniversary. It'll be nice to have the
original recording cleaned up and complete. (The soundtrack album released in the 70s only had about 60% of the music that was in the film.) The Royal Scottish Orchestra recorded the complete score about 5 years ago but their performance wasn't quite up to the same standard.

No, JAWS was made on a shoestring budget and most of it went to Bruce, who never managed to work right. No way they could have afforded the LSO.

    I watched S06:E25+E26 - a two-parter called "To Where and Back Again."
It was pretty awesome, I will admit.

All princesses, the Mane Six, and even Spike have been replaced by >changelings. It's up to Starlight, Trixie, and Discord to save the day!
There were a lot of cute moments, but my very favorite thing was that
magic was disabled in the changelings' lair, and suddenly Trixie's no-
    magic illusions became important.

I never heard of a show called "S06:E25+E26" before!

I watched it live on NBC on June 20, that was the exact 50th anniversary.

The answer to that must always be Dark Shadows.

That reminds me I tried to watch JAWS over the Fourth of July weekend, but >> it actually pulled up different movies. :-(

I watched it live on NBC on June 20, that was the exact 50th anniversary.

I also own a "25th anniversary" DVD edition with a lot of featurettes.

I’ve got the steel book somewhere, but I didn’t feel like digging for it.

I just saw that Intrada is releasing the digitally remastered complete score >> to JAWS to commemorate its 50th anniversary. It'll be nice to have the

A bit off topic, but did someone say something about wanting the Orville

That may have been me, but I wasn't talking about the recordings, which I've had for a while now. I was talking about the printed scores, the sheet music used to make those recordings.

I'd also love to have the sheets to the original BATTLESTAR GALACTICA, which seem to have fallen into a black hole somewhere.

But thanks anyway for looking out!

No, those are just commercial or amateur arrangements of the Main Title. I
want the actual handwritten full orchestral scores that Bruce Broughton, John Debney, and Joel McNeely used to make the recordings, which will never be
    found on any commercial website.

I can usually get my hands on stuff like that with the access to studio archives that I was given as part of my engraving job but some stuff seems to be locked away somewhere or lost to time. THE ORVILLE scores and BATTLESTAR GALACTICA are two examples. Howard Shore's score to SILENCE OF THE LAMBS is another.
