I watched:
FRIDAY NIGHT VIDEOS
What did you watch?
I watched another ST:TNG. It was the one where the Enterprise rescues a captured kid who has gone native and wants to stay where he is.
It's amazing and a little icky that Picard doesn't think to *ask* *him*
until war has nearly begun. He does the right thing in the end, but I'm
not sure he deserved the gesture of honor the kid showed him.
This show has odd messaging.

And wrong more often than not.
The worst part, for me, is the projection of Federation morality onto
others. Real science fiction can handle beings who don't turn out to be
Just Like Us in the end.
Star Trek is science fantasy, and it still manages to deliver broken
morals. I'm still fond of it, though.
Agreed to the above, although I am less fond of it with each iteration.

I liked DS9, even though it was a ripoff of Babylon 5.
After that, yeah, it declined precipitatiously.

I'm not sure I believe that given that Jay Michael Stracrapski is a known >liar and douche bag. Is there any evidence for it other than what he
claims?

Paramount has a history of stealing material submitted to them. There were some other things I cannot remember, but it's also very strange how similar the shows are and how they came out around the same time.
