• Old Batman Clip - I Knew I Recogized That Beach

From BTR1701@21:1/5 to All on Sat May 24 02:56:17 2025
Came across this scene from the old BATMAN show and there was something awful familiar about that setting...

Holy shifting sands, Batman! It was shot on the beach right at the end of my street!

I like how they have a 30-foot monster wave on the green screen behind them while they're 'surfing' but when they go into the water and come out, the
    ocean is almost glass-smooth.

    Good find

I'm surprised you recognized it. It looks like any other beach I've
seen. I didn't see any distinctive topography or whatever.

Any chance a young BTR was one of the extras on the beach? ;-) I'm
guessing not; you probably weren't living there then.

Back projection. If it had been a matte process, it would’ve been blue screen, green screen being decades away yet. If not, green screen would’ve played merry Hell with the Joker’s hair. :-)

    behind them
while they're 'surfing' but when they go into the water and come out, the ocean is almost glass-smooth.
