I forgot to let you know a few days ago,

I did watch all of season 1.

I stuck with it because I sort of liked the characters and there was
some character development. Even Ben Rappaport, whose face got
permanently stuck in that hang-dog expression when he was a child, did
some credible acting at times. AnnaSophia Robb's performance didn't
quite live up to potential, but then, her character is the most
frustrating of all. Selfish Melissa Fumero grows on you. Aja Naomi
King's character is impossible to like and would have worked better had
they leaned into it more but it's an ok performance.

In the season finale, several of the minor characters play outsized
roles, which was an odd choice.

They keep the plot moving, not because the plans aren't any good (they
are all about to be charged with the Kennedy assasination due to their
criminal incompetence and none of them were yet born!), but due to
coincidence. On this show, it's played for laughs.

A mere handful of plot points got wrapped. They didn't reveal who the
murder victim was till three episodes back. Pretty much they just
resolved the earliest open plot issue that created all the consternation
    in the first place.

We know NBC won't order a second series, which we damn well knew up
front. This should have been a self-contained story, but I wasn't
    expecting it would be.

If another season is ordered by Peacock or another streamer, it sure
won't tempt me to subscribe. If it doesn't get another season, no one
will care because no one wanted to be strung along like this.

Knowing how little of the story line got wrapped up, you still might
enjoy the show, which is better than Suits: Arrow.
