    It is not really a "reboot" (that's just lazy journalists misusing the
    term again), but is actually a sequel with Liam Neeson playing the son
    of Leslie Nielsen's character from the original movie.

    Not having seen the trailer and ignoring my dislike of any resurrected
    old series or movie, it seems like Liam Neeson is an incredibly bad
    casting choice for a comedy movie.

    I thought the trailer looked fine. It's not Shakespeare but then THE
    NAKED GUN series was never high theatre.

    would transition, very succesfully, to comedy.

    of Canada?

    CBC once did a parody where the two brothers woke up in each other's bodies..... it was actually pretty funny since Erik Nielsen was known
    as quite a dour politician though if you didn't know who he was you
    probably wouldn't get most of the humor since they were both parodying
    each other in a way only brothers can.
