Yesterday, just soaps:
soaps: DOOL - Kristen's crazy mommy attacks Ava with a knife - I'm
guessing they are going to write her out by sending her off to the funny farm. Melinda Trask (she's back!!) pretty much refuses to negotiate on
giving the necklace back to Doug III - I think Holly The Brat then
basically suggests that they steal it back. Jada catches Rafe up on the
fact that EJ was almost certainly keeping him prisoner for months! -
Rafe responds by rushing over to the mansion to strangle EJ! (hopefully
to death!!).
GH - Brook Lynn finally convinces NuNuLulu not to tell Dante about having a baby with Brook Lynn 2 decades ago - but at the end, Lulu runs
right into Dante, so we'll see if she can manage to keep her mouth shut!
It's revealed that Valentin is the one who sent the text message,
because he wants Charlotte to go home to Port Charles - Anna and Jason
show up, and stop a WSB "kill team" (strangely, they claimed they
weren't working under Jack Brennan's orders!), allowing Jason to claim Charlotte and allowing Valentin to escape once again. Tracy and Drew
battle over condemning(?) the Quartermaine crypt - Anna's granddaughter
Emma needless inserts herself in this conflict (she is quickly becoming
this show's most annoying character, which is really saying something!).
Y&R - In captivity, Filis[sic!] is poisoned (this really is pointing
in the direction of Ian Ward...), and Sharon has to solve a riddle to
find the antidote. Nick and Billy compare notes, and work the
"kidnapped" theory, and bond together, but are uncomfortable that
they've bonded! Audra warns Nate not to trust Damien, and wants to
"work" Holden for information, which makes Nate uncomfortable.
That was it - I had too much other stuff to do yesterday, and when I
didn't I played video games.
Speaking of video games, for anyone who still has a PS3 there is a new
update available that's needed in order for the device to be able to
keep playing blu-ray movies. I have a PS3, but I don't really use it
anymore. It hasn't been turned on in years. But I fired it up so I
could download the update. Now I'm tempted to turn it on again and play
some games on it.
What did you watch?
I watched:
The Righteous Gemstones (HBO) - "Prelude" - Season 4, episode 1. Danny
McBride wrote and directed this prequel episode set during the Civil War
and stars Bradley Cooper as a murderer, thief, and conman too. Cooper
plays "Elijah Gemstone" who at the start of the episode murders a local
priest (Josh McDermitt) then steals his identity after being mistaken
for the priest and drafted into the confederate army as a chaplain.
Since Cooper's character's real name was "Gemstone" I couldn't tell if
the modern day characters were his descendants or descendants of the
murdered man who he swapped names with. But my guess is they are
Cooper's descendants and he went back to his real name at some point,
but kept up using religion as a con.
In The Lost Lands (theatrical) New post apocalyptic fantasy movie
directed by Paul W.S. Anderson, based on a short story by George R.R.
Martin. I'm going to cut to the chase, this movie was bad. Like
really, really bad. The movie stars Milla Jovovich as a witch who is
hired by the queen of the last remaining human city to travel into the
Lost Lands and bring back a werewolf so the queen can get the werewolf's shapeshifting powers. Jovovich hires Dave Bautista to guide her into
the Lost Lands but the two are being hunted by religious zealots because reasons. I'm watching this movie and thinking to myself there's only
one city left on Earth and almost everyone lives there. They know for a
fact that Jovivich is coming back. Why chase after her when they can
just wait for her return? Because then there wouldn't be a movie I
guess. Anyway, the only reason I made the trip to see this is because I
had free tickets, and even then I can't say it was worth the trip to
theater even to see it for free. Yeah, it was that bad!
