DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN REVIEW - A NEW WAY FORWARD FOR THE MCU? OR JUST ANOTHER FAILURE?
Here is my Spoiler-Free review of the first two episodes of Daredevil: Born Again.
Here is my Spoiler-Free review of the first two episodes of Daredevil: Born Again.
Is this show the MCU's last chance? Could it be the MCU, like Daredevil, is also
being born again, moving away from the trash of the past? Or was this just business
    as usual for Disney Plus? #disney #marvel #mcu https://youtu.be/QQ4-UL-7UFE?si=jWbZVrQvGD-WnAV9

POP CULTURE BREAKDOWN | DAREDEVIL REVIEW | NO WHO FOR XMAS | SNOW WHITE BO DROP | RIP SILVER SURFER!
POP CULTURE BREAKDOWN returns with a review of Daredevil: Born Again! We'll also be discussing the impending box office disaster that is Snow White, the apparent cancellation of the Doctor Who Christmas Special this year, the fact they're killing off the Silver Surfer in the comics just in time for the Fantastic
Four movie, where we'll get the female surfer, and our movie this evening is the very strange classic Nothing But Trouble! https://www.youtube.com/live/LmaJGTw6p-g?si=v_fTr8MDI3OafxnH

Yesterday is supposed to be my "short" workday, but I ended up working
pretty much all day anyway. And then I came home, and mostly played my
    new video game.

So all I got through was a single soap:

soaps: DOOL - Ava breaks the bad news to Belle that she's not filing
charges against Kristen, et al. for the kidnapping. (IRL, does that even matter?! I feel like kidnapping is one of those charges that a
prosecutor could file with or without the victim's consent.) Then
Kristen gloats, and I was hoping Ava would change her mind and file
charges anyway; instead, she just slaps Kristen (still not nearly
enough!). Marlena breaks the bad news to Brady that John is "missing".
(I really wish they wouldn't drag this storyline out like this - but,
for all I know, these ep's were filmed so long ago that Drake Hogestyn
was still alive...) Stephanie admits to Kayla that she knows Joy may be pregnant - Kayla tells Stephanie to stay out of it! Alex and Joy both
ask for jobs working at Titan, so Alex and Joy will presumably be
working together now, which Stephanie is informed of at the end.

    That was it.

    I watched:

Matlock - "A Traitor in Thine Own House" - Background noise. I really
don't care about the interoffice bickering and romances. They need to
    stick to the good stuff.

Survivor - "Humble Traits" - Season 48, episode 2. It feels like they
are casting the show more and more on personalities and potential for interpersonal conflicts. Plus they are going to start letting viewers
vote on stuff, and this show is turning into Big Brother on an island.
And why do people once they find a hidden immunity idol want to run and
tell everyone they see they have one?

    SHIFTING GEARS.
They finally got around to episode eight and the remaining two episodes are scheduled again. Supposedly Dharma is next week.
This was a totally pedestrian and mundane and boring episode about career
day at school. The son is back to being a total retard.

    Law & Order season 24
Nine of the many many many episodes I had recorded were the current season
so I plowed through those. Boy is this a weird show. They give lectures on
how black women cops have different realities and the law should be progressive, which literally means, committing perjury and putting the
wrong people in jail and letting the criminals go because you think it’s
the right thing to do. WTF?

Also, does the DA have more than one brother? Because in one episode, the brother was trying to get him to put their father down. And then the next episode he was talking about the brother dying horribly from some disease.

    MURDOCH MYSTERIES.
The Shakespeare’s beard episode. This was confusing and not very
interesting as well as being written by Maureen Jennings, who wrote the
books and created the series. The best part was that it was a Brackenread episode.

    DEATH IN PARADISE
The PBS station is a season behind, but I checked to see if I had seen them
all (there was at least one I didn’t remember) and I watched the episodes with the senses shattering return of Florence!

I also unloaded a lot of stuff wholesale, but since I didn’t watch it, I’ll report that over in the 501 shows thread.
