• Joy Behar Trashes "Foreign Agent" Elon Musk, Claims He's "Pro-Apartheid

Joy Behar trashed billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk during Thursdays broadcast of The View, claiming that he was a foreign agent and was pro-apartheid and asserting that he was effectively running the
federal government while President Donald Trump took a nap.

Behar and her cohosts on the ABC News talk show have been critical of
both Trump and Musk since before the inauguration often suggesting
that the latter is actually the one in charge and directing things from
the sidelines but on Thursdays show, Behar took things a step
    further.

Elon Musk kisses [Trumps] butt and strokes his tiny ego, or big ego,
whatever it is, Behar began, prompting a smattering of laughter from
the audience. And he doesnt get to do he can take a nap while the
guy, who was not born in this country, who was born under apartheid in
South Africa, so has that mentality going on. He was pro-apartheid, as
    I understand it

He is a naturalized citizen, cohost Alyssa Farah Griffin pointed out.

Hes a naturalized citizen, Behar repeated. Oh, how did he do that?
Did he come over the border legally?

Griffin said she believed hed come to the United States on an H1B
Visa, and cohost Sunny Hostin jumped in then to claim that hed
overstayed that visa, suggesting that made him an illegal immigrant.

This is just perfectly wonderful for Trump, Behar pivoted back to her original point. He can take a nap and let this foreigner, foreign
agent, you know, an enemy of the United States, do his job.

Cohost Whoopi Goldberg asked whether anyone else wanted to address the
topic, and there was a brief pause before Griffin suggested that maybe
they should give him a little bit of time before labeling Musk an
    enemy of the United States.

Fox News commentator Guy Benson pushed back on Behars comments,
saying, When its illegal immigrants, they chant that we are a nation
of immigrants. When its a naturalized citizen they dont like, this
    ugly nativism rears its head.

At some point, @ABC is going to get sued for something these morons
say. This may be it, Pradheep Shanker added.

Perhaps with an eye toward just such a lawsuit, Behar scrambled to
water down her claims when the show returned from a commercial break.

I dont really know for sure if he was [pro-apartheid]. He grew up in
that time when [it] was in full blown He was around at that time.
Maybe he was, maybe he wasnt dont be suing me, okay, Elon? Behar
    said.

"He is a naturalized citizen," cohost Alyssa Farah Griffin pointed out.

"He’s a naturalized citizen," Behar repeated. "Oh, how did he do that?
Did he come over the border legally?"

Yes, you disgusting fishwife, he did.

"This is just perfectly wonderful for Trump," Behar pivoted back to her original point. "He can take a nap and let this foreigner, foreign

Bingo. The hypocrisy is so blatant it's amazing that those smooth-brained harridans believe they're fooling anyone.

You don't know for sure but you were perfectly comfortable accusing him of it. Fuck off, you appalling hag.

He grew up in that time when [it] was in full blown... He was around at that time.
Maybe he was, maybe he wasn't... don't be suing me, okay, Elon?" Behar
    said.

He should sue the shit out of her and take everything she owns.

Her issue with Musk is apparently that he wasn't born in America. Of course this is Left's hypocrisy on full display: full acceptance of open borders for those who will flood the country and reshape the electorate, but hostility toward legal immigrants-- especially those of the hwite kind-- who champion free speech, innovation, and American strength.

Unless I'm horribly mistaken Donald Trump is about to elect the next
prime minister of Canada - public opinion polls gave a 20 point lead
to one party before Trump launched into Canadian politics with the
other party having a 4-5 point lead in the polls today - which is
    election day in Canada.

What Trump said was as good as an endorsement which is not something
political leaders should be doing in countries other than their own.

I'll be watching in 7 1/2 hours when the polls close...

I hereby predict that if Carney manages to win, he will never be
re-elected. It's very clear to me that he's just Trudeau with a resume
and that this will soon become apparent to everyone else. Carney is also
a frequent liar. His arrogance is off the charts, which is obvious every
time he has to answer a hard question from the media: he oozes contempt
for them. I think his only motivation for wanting the job is the
prospect of all the money his company, Brookfield, can get from
    government contracts.

If Carney fails to win, I think he'll be gone in very short order. I
just don't see him wasting time as an opposition leader when he could be
making much more money in the private sector.

It should be noted that the chief reason Carney's main rival was
defeated in the recent Canadian election was that his electoral
district was targetted by proportional representation advocates whose
tactic was to register 90+ "candidates" whose names were placed on the
    ballot in Poilevre's electoral district.

Apparently the ballot in Poilevre's district was more than 3 feet long
and it's believed many voters were confused even though party
affiliation is shown on Canadian ballots. (It wasn't always and I
remember the election when I was in my early teens and there were two candidates in our district with the same surname and that that evening
when the results were on TV my mother was quite distressed to find she
had mis-remembered and inadvertently voted Communist....)

I don't know how you could legally prevent this though Canada does
have a requirement that candidates file a deposit when filing their
nomination papers. This deposit is refunded if the candidate gets more
than a certain percentage (25%? 50%?) of the votes cast for the
winning candidate. I heard about this years ago when my late
grandfather was a federal candidate for one of the major parties but
that was in the 1960s. I know the deposit requirement is still in the
elections act but have no idea the amount currently. It's high enough
to discourage most of the nutbars but not serious candidates.

Ay Caramba! I'd be mortified if I'd voted for a Communist when I meant
    to vote for someone else.

If I recall correctly, party affiliations ALWAYS appeared on ballots but
then some bright spark convinced the powers that be to eliminate that
and so the next election, affiliations were dropped. But they were back
again the next election (if I recall correctly) so I think there must
have been more stories like your mother's that prompted them to
    reinstate affiliations.

I don't know how you could legally prevent this though Canada does

Actually, I read a YouTube comment yesterday that said it is no longer necessary to put down a deposit to get on the ballot; this was
apparently a reform of the Trudeau government some time in the past
decade. But it was only a YouTube comment with a citation so it may not
be true. This nonsense with the 3 foot long ballots is probably pretty
good justification for reinstating the deposit to get on the ballot but
given that it hurt their enemy Poilievre, it wouldn't surprise me if the Liberals did NOT restore the deposits.
