Leo Kearse's latest video reveals that Caribbean countries are seeking multi-trillion pound reparations from Britain because of the slave
trade. It looks like David Lammy, the foreign secretary, who is himself
of Guyanese descent, is at least entertaining the idea even if he hasn't formally committed to the idea yet.

Kearse dissects the idea of reparations and uses historical facts to
refute the whole notion, particularly in the case of Britain which did
more than any other country to END the slave trade, at great expense to
itself in both lives and money.
