• What Did You Watch? 2025-02-21 (Friday)

    From Ian J. Ball@21:1/5 to All on Sat Feb 22 09:36:56 2025
Yesterday, I had grand plans to come home and watch "Nosferatu" (2024),
but these days, when I get home on Fridays I am dead beat tired, so not
only did I not watch "Nosferatu", I was too tired to even watch the
crappy new Hybrid flick LMN was running or even one of the backlog of
    Lifetime flicks on my DVR!

So, yesterday, all I got through was soaps:

    soaps: Both Thur's ep's.
GH - Well, stuff happened in this one. Lucky (they didn't show him,
so it was neither TempLucky nor RealLucky) is rushed to the hospital
after Cyrus injected him with digitalis; at the hospital, his family
shows up, and Lizzie warns Dr. Isaiah that Lucky was injected with
digitalis. Cyrus escapes after injecting Lucky. Josslyn rifles through
Cyrus' hideout place, and doesn't seem to find anything, until she finds
Cyrus' serial killer stash of patient ID wristbands from his victims
that he killed. Just then, Cyrus shows up - he grabs an axe intending to
rub Josslyn out when she pulls out the gun she's been carrying and
shoots Cyrus dead!! In a surprise, rather than calling in Jason as her
cleaner, she calls in NuJack Brennan instead!... Meanwhile, Dante breaks confidence to tell dumb, selfish NuNuLulu that Brooklyn and Chase can't
have kids 'cos Chase is sterile. (How long will Lulu keep this secret?!
    - 5 seconds?!!) Drew shows Willow his new place, and wants her and her
kids to move in with him, but in a rare show of common sense (and a tiny
bit of backbone) Willow seems to say "no". Later Jason confronts Drew.
And Laura and NuNuJordan ask for Anna's advice about Jenz Sidwell vs.
    Sonny Corinthos.
DOOL - OK, this was disappointing - Brady and Steve (Patch!) finally
figure out where Ava is, and are about to free her, but I bet they never discover Rafe, so Rafe will probably be held captive for weeks more! :/
Unsurprisingly, I think Leo Stark is going to get his Lady
Whistleblower column back. Belle tries to get EJ to incriminate himself
and fails; but, inexplicably, she's still boffing the guy!! Kristen gets
what I assume is a sample of the memory-erasing drug (I'm guessing this
ends up getting used on Rafe, because there's not enough of it to use on
    Ava and Brady and Patch!!).

    Hey, thanks for asking!

After almost 4 months, I have reclaimed the sofa and the plasma and the
    Amazon fire stick.

Turns out the system has been on the whole time and the fire stick was just
    in sleep mode.

If I had known, I would have set it to screen wipe to get rid of burn in
    and let it run!

The Cox DVR, which was almost empty now has 501 recordings on it. I
definitely picked the wrong week to give up amphetamines.

So the first thing I watched was three episodes of the new season of
REACHER. It’s a little too nonlinear for my taste.

This morning I took a look at FRIENDLY NEIGHBORHOOD SPIDER-MAN. I had read
a lot of bad things about it, which as of episode three are pretty much unwarranted. Technically, it’s quite impressive. Yes, Harry Osborn being a black cross-dresser was kind of strange. I don’t know if they just decided Peter Parker should be the only white person in the show or if Queens is
really an environment of color now.

I wasn’t even sure if Peter had spider sense in this version, but they mentioned it in the opening theme so I guess he does. There’s an awful lot
of stuff that you would think would set it off that doesn’t seem to.

Anyway, buoys and gulls, I’m baaaaaack!
