Taxpayers have settled with the estate of Dexter Reed to the tune of
$1.25 million for a police shooting during a traffic stop. The traffic
stop, performed by tactical police officers, was probably specious and
Reed's civil rights for having his person seized were probably violated,
but Mr. Reed is dead because he fired first, shooting a cop (not life >threatening).
The greedy relatives and P.I. attorney win again.
