Just soaps before going to bed early:
soaps: GH - Mon's ep. First let me say that I'm extremely disappointed
to read in Deadline that Charles Measure (who plays Jack Brennan) is
leaving GH - he is literally the best thing they've got going right now (though "Babe" as Lulu is turning out better than I would have expected)
- and even worse, they're going to replace Measure with the guy who
played Joey Buchanan on OLTL: IOW, they're going to replace an Aussie
with a straight-up American! Puh-TEWIE!!... Anyway, not much happened in
this ep. NuNuLulu talks about Sam with Dante. Alexis vents about Sam's
murder to Sonny, and then Laura comes over to ask Alexis about Jenz
Sidwell. Earlier Laura tells Lucky that Sidwell is in town, and Lizzie
probes Lucky's real feelings about his captivity by Sidwell. Maxie
pushes Sasha about the rumor that Jason is her fetus's father, but Sasha refuses to discuss the baby's father. Curtis talks to the football
player about recovering from his injury.
DOOL - Tue's ep. The "secret" stalker of the soap-within-a-soap
sends fake scripts to all of the cast, and Johnny, Leo and Abe, and of
course the sctipts all have some contact poison on them, so everybody
falls ill (or dies?!). Stephanie quits being the soap's PR person, so
she can be with Alex, and then tells Alex - Alex tells her that all of a sudden Joy wants to take things to the "next level", and he doesn't, so
now Alex knows he needs to dump Joy. But then he gets sick! Chanel seems
to reconcile with Johnny (she's a dummy!!), but then he gets sick!
And that was it. I was tired in the evening yesterday, and just went to
bed early.
What did you watch?
"Atonement" - This episode fills in Delen's backstory and involvement in
the Earth Minbari war. It's a little weird watching this episode now
this far into the series after already seeing the backstory play out in
the TV movie. This episode isn't even on my watch list and was easily >skippable, but I've pretty much thrown out the watch list at this point
and I'm just watching them. I'll have to try harder to skip the
skippable ones.

What did you watch?
I watched:
Babylon 5 (blu-ray) - Still making my way through season
4. "Epiphanies"
Garilbadi quits. Meanwhile Bester shows up asking for
help. The whole relationship between B5, Earth, and
Psychor/Bester is really murky,
especially given B5 left Earth. I guess best not to think
about such things.
"The Illusion of Truth" - I mostly fast forwarded
through this one,
stopping to watch the ISN news propaganda parts. But
those propaganda
parts were about half the episode. I was expecting a
brief segment at
the end and got wrapped up into watching it. According to
this episode
the lunar colony foundation was laid in 2018. I had no
idea we already had a colony on the moon.
"Atonement" - This episode fills in Delen's backstory and
involvement in
the Earth Minbari war. It's a little weird watching this
episode now this far into the series after already seeing

the TV movie. This episode isn't even on my watch list
and was easily skippable, but I've pretty much thrown out
the watch list at this point
and I'm just watching them. I'll have to try harder to
skip the skippable ones.
"Racing Mars" - Franklin and Marcus smuggle themselves to
Mars and learn thanks to the news embargo no one knows
there was a Shadow war.
Meanwhile Garabaldi has a falling out with Sheradan.
Speaking of Sheradan, he goes through some, let's say
interesting, courting rituals
with Delenn. They mentioned Garibaldi's hair falling out.
I've been keeping an eye out for that and was surprised
it lasted so long, then
when it finally happened, I didn't notice. Technically,
he still has some hair on his head.
"Lines of Communication" Delenn confronts the Drakh who
are shaping up to be the latest big bad.
"Conflicts of Interest" - Sheridan builds up his
resistance forces and establishes a counter propaganda
network.
"Rumors, Bargains and Lies" - By this point I was half
asleep and just
barely paying attention. But when my eyes were open, I
saw Delenn dealing with a civil war back home.

I'm really enjoying these summaries, Arthur. They're pushing
me in the direction of breaking out my set of B5 DVDs and
actually getting around to (finally) watching them. :)
With the NHL going dark for two weeks for this silly
exhibition tournament (The Four Nations). I'll be needing
something to fill in the dark nights, so B5 might just
be it.
Or maybe I'll finally get around to watching the last two
seasons of Breaking Bad. :/

Nobody should need an excuse to watch some Babylon 5!

I find that 'tournament' interesting... much better than
the usual ASG fare anyway. I think it could be fun.
Although scheduling it mid-season probably wasn't the best
idea...

Finally? You mean, you haven't seen them? Wow!
At least you've got something good to look forward to
anyway.

I bought a bundle of all five seasons plus the set of
movies ages ago and they're still on the shelf awaiting
my attention.
I had a movie and some of the episodes on VHS that I
watched, but it's been so long ago it will be like watching
a "new" show when I finally break open the shrink wrap
on the DVDs.

I started ignoring the All Star Game when they changed the
format to 3-on-3 instead of playing a real game. :P
At least the ASG only shut down the regular season for
a long weekend instead of two weeks!

Yeah, I've watched the first three seasons, but never
got around to watching the last one. The DVD sets split
the last season into two sets, so I always think of it
as being two seasons to go.

Yep, unless something else comes up to get my attention
during the NHL Dark Nights.

finally forced myself to put a few of them on the watch
schedule. But I still have lots of shows that I *need* to
find time to watch.

Add "Better Call Saul" to your plans for when you finish
"Breaking Bad."

AAAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHH!
At one time, I had this on my wishlist, but with the number
of sets that are already languishing on my shelves, I scratched
those off.

I never watched it because the Saul character was the one thing about BREAKING
BAD that I didn't like. I certainly wasn't going to watch a whole show about him.
