• Dean Cain joins ICE

From Gary McGath@21:1/5 to All on Sun Aug 10 20:36:20 2025
Dean Cain, who played Superman in the TV series Lois & Clark, has signed
up with ICE. This is especially ironic as he's 3/8 Japanese and his grandparents were taken to and American internment camp.

I'm not an advocate of cancel culture. If he had just made speeches
saying ICE is great, I wouldn't want his existing gigs to be cancelled
for that reason. But he's joined up with a violent, lawless gang. That
should be grounds for any upcoming conventions that have him as a guest
(e.g., Cincinnati Comic Expo) to revoke his invitation, if their
    contract lets them.

It also suggests that he didn't learn anything/didn't really
think about the character he played (Superman), who is--an
apparently was intended to be by the original writers--an
    undocumented alien.
