    I've been forcibliy updated. Hair-thin scroll bars that are
    invisible until you click on them are not an improvement.

    For some reason I didn't see your original post. But if you're having
    the problem I think you are, try going to Settings --> Ease of Access (Display). Turn off "Automatically hide scroll bars in Windows".

    After you've done that (and can see the scroll bars) you might like
    to try Settings --> Personalization (Colors) and scroll down to turn
    on "Title bars and windows borders" to show you the active Window as
    it did in previous versions.

    The size of the monitor doesn't matter (I had the same problem, on my
    23" monitor), but Somebody Else's advice worked.

    Today I finally had time to try that (I'm still
    re-assembling my Web sites), and it works! The scroll bar
    is not only visible, but wide enough to point at on the
    first try.

    Yesterday I discovered Notepad's secret "file has been
    saved" indicator: a spot changes to a times sign.

    Now I wonder whether there is a secret "save as" button.
    Selecting "save as" from the menu turns me over to the
    mercies of Windows 11 Explorer, which is even buggier than
    the one on XP.
