    Not a bad price for a US-made tool. And excellent for reaching-and-clipping.

    a) These things do wear out. I have worn out 2 in 20 years. One of the incumbents is approaching its end-of-life.

    b) The Son-in-Law is gradually getting into the repair/diagnostic end of things - he is in line for one.

    c) I am raffling off (for the club) one of these at a local repair clinic. Onsie/twosie examples of the 775 are going for $60 or so on eBay. Insane, but there it is.

    d) Were I a pig, I would have purchased all 10 that were then available.

    Otherwise, and in full agreement - spares are good!

    Partial to Diamondalloy SN56p , first one purchased in 1968.
    Picked up a NOS for $20 last year.
    The foundry and operations no longer exist in Duluth, MN ...
    but they were well built and iron ore was local.
