How many other intersections are like this?
I have wondered how the left hand turning vehicle has the right of way?
It also shows that all road users need to know about the blind spot. The old >if you can not see my mirrors I can not see you.
The truck situation is worse as the truck driver can not see if any driver
is next to them on the left side as the truck windows are higher up than the >top of the car. Cyclists are almost invisible.
In Tauranga plenty. The tauranga council has gone nuts along Cameron
Road and giving cyclists the right of way at every intersection side
road and drive way. Some of these ebikes travel faster than a car in
those so called cycle lanes. I'v nearly taken several out turning
into and out of 2nd avenue who have appear out of nowhere. The
cyclists have way better visibility than a motorist turning left.
