  • Wisdom from an aged ex-MP

    I agree with most of his observations. While he is not an ex-PM he
    has significant longevity in Parliament. His scathing dismissal of
    the current coalition government sits well with me, as does his
    position on the behaviour of the Mari Party MPs.

    The Maori Party would do well to take his sage advice, but they are
    unlikely to do so because he is not Maori and they don't take advice
    from colonisers.

    From the heading though, yes the gross overreach of the intended
    punishment from Crusher Collins and the rejection of that by Labour
    may well influence the next election, but I see it is just another
    example of the "reward supporters, bash others" policies of the whole government. We have yet to see if Collins will get pulled back on the
    long exclusion and financial penalties will be reduced, but stupidly
    Collins would see that as a defeat.

    reading to make your comment in any way relevant to the article I
    cited that you said you could not see?

    I was able to see the heading:

    and the following from the article:

    So my comment related to the proposed "haka punishment" which has
    still to be discussed by the House.

    Regarding your comment, I am not aware of many "colonisers" in New
    Zealand now - unless you are referring to Peter Thiel? - perhaps we
