  • Judaism Is Not Zionism

    I just discovered this group today, in a TV news item about the 🇳🇿 Chief Human Rights Commissioner, Dr Stephen Rainbow, making some disparaging
    remarks about our Muslim community. Whom did they interview, as a representative of those who wanted Rainbow to be sacked (or at least
    called to account), but a woman who wasn’t a Muslim, but a Jew, from a
    local group called “Alternative Jewish Voices” <https://ajv.org.nz/>.

    As they make plain on their website, they are against all forms of racism
    and infringement of human rights:

    We are pro-Jewish and anti-Zionist. We agree that Israel as it
    exists today is an apartheid state, systemically oppressing
    indigenous Palestinians. It doesn’t represent our Judaism.

    They make it clear they have no connection with John Minto’s group, though some of their members may take part in activities held by that group, in a personal capacity.

    Certainly Stephen Rainbow appears to be yet another poor appointment
