This has all the hallmarks of a resignation that was requested. To
all intents and purposes she was dismissed. Why else would she be
paid out for her full term and leave early?
It would have been more prudent to let her serve out her term and not
renew, however I acknowledge there may be good reasons (such as
renewal clauses in the employment agreement) to terminate early.
