Recent news has emphasised that our government has done little top
prepare for the adverse events our country is facing.

Sure trump was probably not anticipated as being as bad as he is
turning out to be, but New Zealand has been badly prepared by the
    current government.

Making so many of our less well off poorer, and again increasing
homelessness has made us more vulnerable to a turndown. The shut down
of construction has meant we have lost skilled workers and made more
New Zealanders homeless. The racism of Seymour and his party, with no
balance from National or NZ First has made many more vulnerable than
they should be, and the blatant sexism of the government parties is
making women particularly vulnerable to attack.

Poor economic decisions by National have led directly to a big
increase in cost for ferry replacement, and the unfortunate sinking of
a naval ship, while that could not have been anticipated, has made
restoring our military to effectiveness in preparation for more
    difficult conditions ahead.

The sexist and racist attacks on politicians, led of ACT but supported
by NZ First and National are making us less effective and more
divided, and giving the potential for internal division and violence
that are not how New Zealanders would like to see ourselves - having
that led by a small party with no balance from the other government
    parties is particularly disappointing.

A global recession is likely, and we are less well prepared by
education being placed in turmoil by more racism, misogyny, and
arbitrary attacks on teachers by removal of specialist services and
arbitrary decisions regarding curriculum without adequate
    consultation.

Our health is under threat, with nutters being supported in disbelief
in modern medicine and more politically motivated violence, with the
added setback of a huge increase in youth vaping - many secondary
schools now have a vaping shop close to the school gate, and some
small suburbs have as may as 4 or 5 shops selling vapes - and all to
pay back political funding by the three governing parties.

Inequality has grown, and many of our poor are less able to support
themselves and their children - we are ensuring that a generation of
children will be less healthy and less prepared for adult life than
they should be, with a symptom of that contempt by government for the
problems being the school lunch debacle - the attitude appears to be
that the recently unemployed do not deserve help, and low income
earners do not deserve to have benefits keep up with inflation - the
tax cuts tot he wealthy must be paid for by less support to keep
    citizens off benefits . . .

Dirty Tricks have started again, aimed primarily at opposition female politicians, leading to increased security costs, but also sexist
attitudes being encouraged on the conservative right. We do not need
such problems, which have long term consequences for the next
generation. To have such actions initiated by far-right politicians
and their supporters is a failure of leadership by our Prime Minister.

The world is in turmoil, and New Zealand has gone off-track for the
last year and a half. Time for a change.

Unfortunately they are *all* idiots, no matter which silly "party" they
belong to. Same with local politicians in city councils. :-(

No doubt if the other main party gets in again at the next election,
they'll also waste piles of tax-payer money on stupidities, like
playing with the road speed limits again. :-\
