    Waitangi is not New Zealand's national day by any reasonable standard, it is now close to worthless - what a shame, and a victory for the brainless.

    Agreed - and they wonder why the PM would rather face the music of
    Maori ire elsewhere. ACT and NZF went to Waitangi for the Feb 6th
    festivities only because they are looking for more confrontation that
    they feel enhances their support base.

    Hasn't been New Zealand's national day for years. Muldoon was stupid
    to rename it . Time to rename it back to NZ Day and drop the maori
    crap and make it a real national day.
