An impressive and respectful gathering - on live stream at RNZ.

Luxon will apparently appear - he needs to apologise for agreeing in a coalition agreement to give the Bill its first reading; but he also
needs to apologise for agreeing to a long select committee hearing -
that was not in any coalition agreement - and all that time will allow
the Bill to foster dissent and resentment, and waste an enormous
    amount of money.

This is an attempt by ACT to create dissent - letting him succeed is
not in anyone's interests other than the devious ACT party who want a Trump-like manufactured confusion and the distraction of dissent.

Shame on the ACT Party, but shame on National as well. This is
effectively saying that binding agreements are not safe with this
government - sanctity of contract only applies as far as they want it
to . . . a day of great shame to all of the current government.

Maybe - but an irrational and deliberately seizing on a non-event
(given the Bill will not pass) to cause major disruption throughout
    the country.

Luxon should apologise, but not for any of those reasons. He should
apologise fore not standing up to the racist verbal-violence that has
been hurled around by the Maori Party in Parliament.

I challenge ACT, at a time of their choice, to apply the same verbal
violence in the same manner to the Maori Party MPs. There will
probably be a brawl, because the Maori Party MPs will not sit and take
this like the ACT MPs did.

This is an attempt by ACT to create dissent - letting him succeed is

What utter nonsense. It is the Maori Party that should be shamed.
They have created division and dissent over a meaningless Bill that
almost identical Bill in 2006 that was ignored as this one should have
    been.

There must be a new Rich80105 posting here - one that clearly arrived
in this ng just recently to replace the older and more moderate Rich
who has clearly been worn out with his defence of the modern
    Labour-Green parties.

We have had 3 years with Labour having an absolute majority
Government. The old Rich would have been well aware of the He Puapua
report and the follow-up actions that Labour took without any
reference to it in their 2020 manifesto. That is what ended my
party-political neutrality on Labour vs National and you have seen all
    this.

To the new Rich - with the Labour Government of 2020-2023 my politics
changed to abandon Labour completely. That does not mean that I
support National or ACT but I do find them to be more to my liking
than Labour or the Greens. Your predecessor might have understood why
even if they never conceded it.

I hope most law abiding people in this country now see the need for
this to go to a referendum so that the maori privileged that was
expanded on by the Ardern government can be put to rest. I suspect
that most of the opponents haven't even read it. Surprisingly Three
News last nite did quite a good job on explaining it. Of course
Liebour is all for pushing racial device.
