• Poor Willie: Does not know the difference between a Judge and a Prosecu

How can he not realise that Prosecution Guidelines are for
Prosecutors, not Judges?. Is the Herald hell-bent in publishing such ill-informed drivel?

    from the article:
"As the Heralds own Audrey Young states in her column,
Solicitor-General Una Jagose is no slouch.

Jagoses prosecution guidelines were not new! These guidelines had
been in place to ensure that when a judge passes sentence, they have
the flexibility and independence to pass judgments that ensure mercy
and rehabilitation are at the heart of our justice system."

So prosecution guildelines are for judges . . .

Of course the Herald publishes ill-informed drivel (usually behind a
paywall so that only the ""right"" people see it), but this article
does not appear to be one of them.

Yes they were. Now withdrawn on October 18:

What? That's what Willie said and it is of course nonsense. It may
be a surprise to you Rich (as it is with Willie Jackson) that
Prosecution Guidelines are for Prosecutors, not Judges. Jagose is not
    a Judge.

Of course the Herald publishes ill-informed drivel (usually behind a

This was not ill-informed, it is a lie.
