    The Act was supposed to be used to take assets from gangs and
    organized crime, that kind of thing. Here it is being used against a
    business which was systematically flouting safety laws, leading to the
    death of a worker. Therefore the police argued the business was
    profiting from breaking the law, and so assets could be taken from it
    on that basis.
    Correction. The police argued and the defendant and the judge agreed that assets could be taken.
    SImple really, case closed.
