• Darleen Tana vs the Green Party

It does seem to me that the Green Party has the tool to remove her from the
the House via the waka jumping law, which has been created for such a case
    as this.

    Quote

"We have also reiterated our clear request for them to resign from Parliament, and in so doing, draw this matter to a conclusion. This would be in the best interests of all involved.”

    Unquote.

The tool and the power is there so start the process or just speak no more about it.

It appears that they have kicked the process off with the required 21 days notice.

It would be hypocritical of the Green to use the Waka Jumping clause
as they were so much against it being introduced

Indeed, but the Greens are the most hypocrtical of all the New Zealand political parties. As Crash has mentioned they are the watermellon party.
So they are just behaving in their normal fashion.

It is not as simple as that Gordon. While the Greens are indeed the
victim of a recalcitrant list MP of theirs who's resignation from the
party but not Parliament robs them of proportional representation, the
Greens also campaigned long and hard against this Act because they
felt it gave the party too much power over MPs.

The Greens do NOT turn on their own like this normally. Tana has
clearly got up their collective noses.
