Get ready for another hoax pandemic!
Buy a big box of dunny paper from Costco!
    Papers, please!

I can hardly wait for the fireworks when they shut down New South Wales (again)...

Unlike NZ, Australia was too slow to shut things down, and that just made things worse.

Didn’t Melbourne end up with the longest lockdown ever, anywhere?

    Nope
I agree - China (in at least one province) had much longer lockdowns,
and Taiwan may also have been longer; there may also have been small
island states that effectively had lockdowns from a lack of travel
between them and the rest of the world.

Did one lockdown in the State of Victoria last longer than the longest lock-down in New Zealand though?

Taiwan, South Korea and Japan were among the quickest to act. They may
have closed their borders as we did, but I don’t think they needed much in the way of actual lockdowns.

South Korea even figured out how to hold a general election in the middle
of the pandemic; nobody was denied their right to vote.
