    By that measure I would be an NZF supporter because I support some of
    their policies but not the shyster who founded the party or their MPs
    in Parliament.

    It is a bold idea and may not be ideal. Time will tell. As for democracy it is nowehere near as serious a threat to democracy as co-governance was.

    Yes - along with Maori Wards imposed by local bodies when the
    requirement for referenda was abolished.
