About Those $500,000 Auckland Pedestrian Crossings ...

From Lawrence D'Oliveiro@21:1/5 to All on Wed Mar 6 22:52:12 2024

Just checking the Mediawatch page, and came across this: <https://www.rnz.co.nz/national/programmes/mediawatch/audio/2018926355/dollar500k-auckland-pedestrian-crossing-costs-quietly-corrected>:

But none of the 28 pedestrian crossings in question cost anything
like $500k. The estimated cost of the crossings was between
$19,000 and $31,000 each.

Others have cost more. But not the ones being built in this plan.
