Whereas a vote for Labour will only result in further division of the races, higher tax and a further failure of democracy!
There ya go Rich. The other side of the story and a gaurantee of what to expect from a left wing coalition of chaos!

I use Google Chrome and it worked for me. It is an Archive page from: >https://www.nzherald.co.nz/business/election-2023-nationals-tax-cuts-could-push-interest-rates-up-goldman-sachs-analysts-warn/VB6QT4LQCFFA5HJDPVWQKCQSUA/

which is behind the paywall - it is possible the Herald does not want
too many people to read it . . .

I am a Herald subscriber so got to read it. Nothing new here. Tax
cuts are supposed to stimulate consumption which is bad for inflation.
However National will argue that lowering taxation revenue by indexing
income tax bands is simply restoring to taxpayers their previous
spending power that was taken away by taxation inflation. Labours
provisions for GST-exemptions do the same in principal but to a lesser
    extent.

For the record, I personally oppose reduction of taxation revenue
until such time as we have made a dent in the huge increase in recent
years of government debt - because this is the only way to reduce
exposure to rising debt servicing costs.

Considering that Labour have presided over substantial interest rate
rises in the last 3 years, I am surprised you would want to bring this
up. After all, Labour is not campaigning at all on what has happened
over the last 3 (or 6) years.

Wow that is magic, it does not work in Google Chrome, you must have a very special version of Chrome that has been blessed by the tooth fairy or whoever else you believe in. It also does not work in MS Edge or MS IE or Firefox or Safari.

    Yep - you are having an ID10T problem, Tony . . .

    To summarise for you :
    Goldman Sachs:
    - warns Nats tax cuts risk exacerbating inflation, putting upward
    pressure on interest rates
    - questions if Nat would be able to make proposed spending cuts
    - doesn't think removing employment from the RBNZ's mandate would make
    a difference.

I expect your browser will prevent you from seeing this: https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/politics/2023/10/mayor-wayne-brown-says-campaign-promises-from-national-will-leave-auckland-worse-off.html

So National are going to stop collecting the Regional Fuel tax but
still meet the costs of the projects it was being used for - Brown
supports removing the regional tax but only if it is replaced with
other funding, without which there would be "a large pothole in the
transport budget". This would see rates rise by 7 percent or force the cancellation of $2.4b worth of transport projects.

Then there are the people that don't matter to National: https://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/politics/election-2023-how-much-nzs-350000-beneficiaries-will-miss-out-on-under-nationals-changes/37M33ZQSBBC6ZJHQNDFU5SY2TA/

Do let us know if your browser refuses to look at that one too, Tony!
