Well my Dlink Router failed, and a mate stated you should get one from Vodafone as my 50mps is a Vodaphone acc.
I gave a ninja a ring and put me though to a woman said the could do
that but it will include a one year contract plus a bit of saving.
Well in the next 2 days I had a new Router and modem.
Them I got a bill did not list any savings, but the bill was split up
over 2 acc but I noticed it was four Unlimted FiberX 200, so I did a
speed test and was getting 200mbs, I asked why I was given 200mbs as I
only need 100, this cable link that I have has a minimum speed of
200mbs.
Now I am on my second bill and that cost is Only $75.87 and that is with phone.
So to go from 50mbs at $105 to 200mbs for $75.87 is great.
With the ever changing plans, you're best to:
A. Get as short a term as possible (or even no term)
B. Re-check the current deals when your term runs out.
The ISPs will simply let you roll-over every month once your plan is
over, even if there are cheaper and/or faster plans then available.
They don't care since they're usually getting more money by leaving you
alone. The exception of course is when they kill off an old plan type.
You can also get a discount from main telecom companies if you include
your mobile phone on the same account.
Another option is also internet TV options added to the plan will save
you a bit of money over having them separate. Sky TV via Vodafone, for
example, instead of direct through Sky saves you something like $10 per
month and used to be a free upgrade to the MySky (or whatever it's
called these days) recorder box instead of the standard receiver box.
