    Hi,
    I previously tested newsportal on PHP 7.3 and 7.4.

    I have installed an ubuntu 22.04 on a vm witch is on PHP8.1.

    I had to do :

    #maybe not documented in the project...
    apt install php-mbstring

    And it worked!

    I didn't tested to post on usenet with it but it should work!
