  • Is news.neodome.net permanently silent for all?

    Have had several days where it is not possible to connect to the read
    only news server at news.neodome.net on port 119. Has anybody else
    failed to communicate with neodome.net?

    could be "need to know" . . . could be something else . . . guessing
    that the neodome system administrator knows exactly what he/she/they
    are doing . . . but that's only a guess . . . the neodome server has
    been down for more than two weeks (~ 13 nov 2024 ?) . . . apart from
    frell's mixmaster remailer, mix/yamn exit remailers (including frell
    yamn) appear to post by default via m2n gateway "[email protected]"
    (e.g., unchecking the m2n gateway option in omnimix proves the point)

    I last pulled articles the evening of 2024-Sep-25. Nothing since
    then. Agreed, hope the admin is okay.
