    It is likely true. It's based on the unsupported and baseless claim
    that the algorithms mail providers use, when filtering mail to Junk,
    have a built in bias against conservatives. While it may be frothing
    nonsense, this matter is already going further, with these two
    steaming turds introduced recently.

    Are "full implementation details" available?

    Excluding *registered* senders of political spam/"spam" from *standard*
    filters can be "softened" e.g. by special marking for use in personal filters/sorters.

    The devil is in the "details". Somehow I do not expect "barely but
    acceptable" implementation as the most likely outcome.

    It is true that Can-Spam specifically exempts political mail. And it is
    true that the FEC has accepted Google's proposal to allow campaign email.

    However, I don't think it's true at all that it will be a good thing for
    the Republican party. I think that this, like autodialers, are as apt to
    turn off voters as to appeal to them. And I also think that in the past
    the Republicans have totally misunderstood the internet while the Democrats have been better at taking advantage of it.

    But most importantly, I think it will be difficult to make sure that they
    are campaigning to people whom they can legally appeal to. I am already
    tired of getting email spam for elections in Guatemala. Sending email spam
    for American elections to Guatemalans is just as bad a plan.
