Can someone check and make sure the messages are being sent to my server?

I've now tested posting to the group via E-S and I got the confirmation
that the message has been submitted to the moderation program.
Did you also receive such a message?

Can you see my test message in the moderation software?

    Hello friends.

Somehow DNS within Postfix got wedged on
mod-relay-1.kamens.us for several days. I didn't realize this
was happening because my system monitors didn't detect the
issue. I found out about it this morning when Postfix somehow
got unwedged and I got several days worth of delayed logwatch
    emails.

I will investigate what happened and try to figure out how to
monitor for this moving forward so it will be detected more
    quickly if it happens again.

In any case things should be working fine now.

JFTR: I just got a bunch of bounces from mod-relay-1.kamens.us
for proto articles submitted between October 10 and today to several different moderated groups.

    Examples:

    ,-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    | <[email protected]> (expanded from <[email protected]>):
    | Host or domain name not found. Name service error for name=eyrie.org
    | type=MX: Host not found, try again \________________________________________________________________________________

    ,--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    | <[email protected]> (expanded from
    | <[email protected]>): Host or domain name not found.
    | Name service error for name=moderators.news.nic.it type=MX: Host not found,
    | try again \_________________________________________________________________________________

    ,--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    | <[email protected]> (expanded from
    | <[email protected]>): Host or domain name not found.
    | Name service error for name=usemod.miller-networks.com type=MX: Host not
    | found, try again \__________________________________________________________________________________

To me, it looks like mod-relay-1.kamens.us has a problem with name resolution

    Hi,

I've just sent two test messages from big-8.org. The first one was
emailed to the ISC moderation relay address <misc-legal- [email protected]>. The second one was emailed directly to
the address that said alias should be forwarding to.

I have received auto-acks from your moderation software for both
messages. Could you please confirm that you can see them in your
    moderation queue?

    Kind regards,
    Rayner

I got the test message. I even got some old test posts I sent
yesterday. The Postfix repair seems to have fixed it

Thanks to all for the help!

OK, I've updated both of the moderator relays under my
control so an alert will be raised if there's a gap of more
than 7 hours without any messages successfully being relayed
or there are an excessive number of temporary DNS resolution
    failures within the past hour.

The 7-hour threshold was determined empirically, i.e., I
looked at old logs and figured out the longest gap we've
observed in recent history. It may have to be adjusted up if
it turns out it's too optimistic about the frequency of
    submissions.
