is to stay on-topic and not be distracted by the common obfuscation nonsense; lately google's gracefully bowing out of the usenet is very much on-topic in every newsgroup because of the mass inundation by their malicious googlespam, but politics and religion don't belong in any rational discussion outside of those newsgroups where such criminal insanity is viewed as sapient or normal
