  • inbox new messages all marked as read problem

    Junk Folder messages are have always been marked as 'Unread'

    WLM does not have a option for IMAP accounts to automatically toggle a
    received message from Read to Unread, nor does it automatically mark
    messages as Read beyond the setting 'Mark message read after 'x'
    seconds' found under File/Options/Mail/<Read tab>.

    After sending and receiving messages to different IMAP accounts in WLM I
    can't duplicate your problem. WLM does have a repair option, but that
    feature doesn't impact the flag(Read or Unread) for incoming messages
    (IMAP or POP3).

    What could it be ? It's possible that your issue is related to Indexing
    and running WLM's build in Maintenance may or may not resolve your problem.

    Apparently not.

    But I remember I made some sort of mirroring for my msn email account in a gmail account, which synced every 15 minutes both accounts, in order to use gmail interface to access my msn messages.
    From WLM on desktop, I read my hotmail messages via IMAP servers.
    I made some new tests and found new messages in hotmail, not yet synced in gmail, are marked as unread in WLM. But those already synced, before I open WLM, are downloaded and marked as read.

    I guess it is the right explanation.
    Do you think, there is a workaround to carry on using sync between hotmail
    and gmail, and keep messages mark as unread in WLM?
