• Capital loss carryover

From Stan Brown@21:1/5 to All on Fri Jun 3 10:56:25 2022
On the capital loss carryover worksheet for the 2021 tax year, line 4
says "Enter the smaller of line 2 or line 3b"

(The worksheet is at <https://www.irs.gov/instructions/i1040sd#idm140303378761488> in
HTML, and this line is the same in the PDF instructions.)

Only problem is, I can't find any line 3b, neither in the worksheet
nor in Schedule D. Is that a typo for "line 2 or line 3", or have I
    missed something?

(The PDF instructions for the 2020 tax year have the same typo, if
    it's a typo.)

It's a typo. It should say "line 2 or line 3."

The 2019 instructions have it right.

Great, Bob! Thanks! I think that's the first typo I've ever noticed
    in IRS instructions.
