    I recently got a letter dated May 6 saying they'd processed an amended 2020 return we filed in May 2021.

    According to [email protected] <[email protected]>:

    John, thank you for sharing your own experience.

    Yesterday the second friend (who amended her 2020 return
    in late May, 2021) received a mailed check for the amount
    the IRS/Treasury owed her plus, I believe, interest.
