    Can one get a TIN for a Trust online? If so, do you get the number right away?

    If you have a Social Security Number, you should be able to get a TIN
    for a trust on line - but the you normally should only get one when a
    trust is irrevocable.

    When you apply for an EIN on line, if you qualify you will always get
    it back right away.
