Hello,
Does anoyne else get those rare black screen when using iPhone's
camera app? Like nothing on screen. Not even icons and texts. I
had to restart camera app to fix it. I think it started in v18. I
don't remember it happening before v18. This was in both 13 and 12
mini, with their updated iOS versions, so far. :/
Thank you for reading and hopefully answering soon. :)

No, never seen that one.
But, it's a computer so Shit Happens. If it happens once then chalk it up to Gremlins. If it happens a few times then maybe you need to delete the Camera app and re-install it. It's in the store.

Rule #1 is, and has always been, REBOOT. Go from there.

No.
Rule #1 is (and has always been): Quit and relaunch the offending PROCESS.
Then, if that doesn't work, reboot.

I tend to disagree: How would you do that on a an iPhone? Quit and
relaunch a process goes over a restart of the OS in contrast to the Mac.
The advantage is that the system is clean and everything is running as intended.

Has nothing to do with an OS-process that controls hardware components.
