AFAIK, no. Beware: I share my location only with my wife and I would
never delete messages from or to her in iMsg.

I want past conversations available for reference. My memory isn't
what it used to be. The only conversations I manually delete are ones
I know will never be needed again like appointment confirmations, two
factor PINS, spam, etc.

Exactly this. I only keep the important ones. I wished there was a way
to organize in archiving like e-mails like put them in KEEP folders.

iMessages has a setting where messages older than xx days are
automatically deleted. That may be an acceptable solution.

I don't use that since I want to review and delete them manually.
