  • imessage is signed out

    I have an exclamation mark on imessage and the following message:
    "An error occurred and your account (+44xxxx) is signed out of iMessage.
    You may miss messages as a result. Please go to Settings to address this issue."

    Settings shows no actions required. Where am I supposed to look?

    I've also received imessages. Is it real or a scam or where do I go to fix this?

    Restart your iPhone and then send someone an iMsg who can receive them.
    If the bubble is blue everything is ok.

    You may need to log out of iCloud and back in, and / or as Joerg says,
    restart your phone.

    This is a new 13. Never seen this error before.
    Hopefully you won't again. But, it's not mission critical s/w, so no
    guarantee that you won't.

    This is a new 13. Never seen this error before.

    I have iPhones since ca. 2008. From time to time it can happen that an
    app is hanging or something else is acting weird. Each and every model
    showed such symptoms but the frequency is extremely low. Once or twice a
    year? What I can remember with a model some years ago that it did not
    pick up the mobile network after a start. Another restart fixed it
    always. My current 14 never acted up so far and I have it already more
    than 5 months.
